Wings of Light and Shadow: The Eternal Story ⚔️

The battle between good and evil has been told since the dawn of humanity.

John Steinbeck once wrote, “There’s only one story. All novels, all poetry, are built on the never-ending contest in ourselves of good and evil.” From the jealous queen who seeks to destroy kind-hearted Snow White, to the noble Jedi standing against the dark-hearted Sith, from Harry Potter and his friends battling Lord Voldemort — these tales are just a few of the most well-known echoes of that single story.

In stories, the line between light and dark is often stark — as clear as black and white. But in real life, the contrast isn’t always so defined. It's full of greys.

As the American writer Tennessee Williams once said, “If I got rid of my demons, I’d lose my angels too.” And J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, reminds us that “We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.”

We couldn’t agree more. Still, our hearts lean toward the hope Charles Dickens once offered: “I hope that real love and truth are stronger in the end than any evil or misfortune in the world.”

Our Eden collection begins with that very belief — and with the two winged figures who represent the opposing halves of our soul: Angelo & Devolo.
